By booking a charter or using this website, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't book with us.
Booking and payment terms
Deposits:
A 50% deposit is required to reserve your charter. The remaining balance is due on the day of your trip. Deposits are non-refundable except in cases where we cancel due to unsafe weather conditions.
Cancellations:
You cancel: Deposits are non-refundable. If you need to reschedule, we'll work with you based on availability.
We cancel (weather/safety): Full refund or reschedule at no charge.
No-shows: No refund.
Payment methods: We accept cash (USD or Belize dollars) and major credit cards.
Weather and safety
Fishing in Belize is weather-dependent. If conditions are unsafe (high winds, storms, poor visibility), we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule your trip. Your safety comes first.
We will:
Monitor conditions closely
Give you as much notice as possible if we need to cancel
Offer a full refund or reschedule if we cancel due to weather
You agree:
To follow all safety instructions on the water
Not to fish under the influence of alcohol or drugs
To wear provided safety equipment when required
Liability and assumption of risk
Fly fishing involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:
Boat travel in open water
Sun exposure and heat
Sharp hooks and fishing equipment
Marine wildlife
Weather changes
By booking a charter, you acknowledge these risks and agree that:
You participate at your own risk
You are physically capable of participating in the activity
Marlon Leslie Fly Fishing is not liable for injury, loss, or damage to personal property except in cases of gross negligence
Minors:
Parents or guardians are responsible for the safety and behavior of children under 18.
What's included and what's not
Included:
Professional guide services
Boat and fuel
Fishing equipment (rods, reels, flies)
Fishing license (if booked through us).
Not included:
Transportation to/from Placencia
Lodging and meals
Gratuity (appreciated but not required)
Personal gear (sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, etc.)
Bring your own gear if you prefer. We'll let you know what to bring before your trip.
Photography and content usage
We may take photos or videos during your charter for promotional use on our website, social media, or marketing materials. If you don't want your photo used, just let us know. We'll respect your privacy. By participating in a charter, you grant us permission to use photos that include you unless you opt out.
Intellectual property
All content on this website (text, images, logos, design) is owned by Marlon Leslie Fly Fishing and protected by copyright law. You may not copy, reproduce, or use any content without our permission.
Photos of fish you catch are yours to share!
Fish handling and conservation
Belize law requires 100% catch-and-release for permit, tarpon, and bonefish. We take conservation seriously.
You agree to:
Handle all fish with care
Follow proper catch-and-release techniques
Respect marine protected areas and fishing regulations
Violations of fishing regulations are your responsibility, not ours.

These terms are governed by the laws of Belize. Any disputes will be resolved in Belize courts.
